Wave Type
This shape excels in all conditions shoulder-high and under, the flatter the face, the faster this board goes. Think classic longboard waves – softer, more flowy lines – like San Onofre, high tide California beach breaks, and point breaks. This shape will work well in anything from ankle-high to the shoulder-high range.

Board Features
This shape’s hull bottom is what makes it unique, it’s got a sort of belly to the bottom that helps the board turn over rail-to-rail super easily. Hull bottoms are the opposite of concave bottoms, instead of a concave where the arch of the board reaches up into the centerline, it’s a convex bottom where the centerline reaches down into the water. This creates a truly unique feeling of connection to the water that can only be achieved with a hull. The TJ Hull Rider has a hull bottom in moderation, meaning you get the feeling of connectivity in the wave face with an ease-of-use not common historically in hulls. Dan Mann designed this shape with a rounded pintail and a slightly fuller nose outline, giving you more stability while cross-stepping or trimming. It’s also got a tear drove concave cutout of the hull bottom, decreasing weight in the nose increasing maneuverability, while also getting some airflow under the nose to help get lift during nose rides. And the shape’s flatter entry rocker makes wave catching a breeze, with some gentle rocker in the tail for maneuverability. In this shape, it’s beneficial to have the extra volume because you’re not losing any performance.

The Double Scoop is a bold new design that redefines the modern noserider. Inspired by the way water flows over the tail during a noseride, this board offers enhanced lift and control on the nose, while still allowing smooth, responsive turns from the tail. It combines traditional glide with modern maneuverability—delivering style, function, and versatility across a variety of conditions.

A standout feature of the Double Scoop is its unique “spoiler effect” — a flipped deck line and deep double concave through the rear third of the board. This design channels water across the deck and into the flipped tail, holding more water and creating additional lift and speed control. Drawing on Ben’s passion for Formula 1, the board uses hydrodynamics to achieve downforce for nose lift. When stepping back from the nose, the pulled-in tail and concave behind the fin deliver sharper, more powerful turns.

A collaboration between past Icons of Foam Shaping Champion Stu Kenson and 4x World Longboard Champion Taylor Jensen. With a blessing and introduction from Dan Mann, Taylor and Stu went to work on designing a modern nose rider that Taylor has been riding on the World Longboard Tour in 2024.

Featuring a wide single concave nose and a tucked hard edge square tail, this board allows long boarders of all levels to ‘Hang 10’ and turn like a pro without compromising on the agility and ease of owning a lighter longboard. The wide point adds stability on the tip while that tucked hard edge in the tail makes accelerating off the bottom and cutting back a sinch.

With bottom contours that gently flow from single concave in the nose to a slightly rolled bottom thru the middle and flat out the tail, this board is very user friendly, holding nose rides in the steepest of sections, transitioning easily from rail to rail and trims like a dream.
